Igniting Innovation: Combat Robotics
Dive into the highlights of our Igniting Innovation: Combat Robotics event from TechWeek23, which captivated over 100 attendees. Participants aged 12-24 engaged in hands-on workshops and intense combat tournaments, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills. This event not only highlighted the excitement of robotics but also emphasized the importance of STEAM-based education. More than just entertainment, it sparked a significant interest in STEM careers, demonstrating the potential and innovation of our future generations.
Marlborough Innovation Day 2022
Marlborough Innovation Day was a headlining event of TechWeek23, bringing together tech leaders, industries, researchers, and government officials. Keynote speaker Brendan O'Connell, CEO of AgriTechNZ, highlighted the event, discussing the future of agritech in New Zealand. Guided by the Marlborough Economic Wellbeing Strategy, the day focused on connectivity and the untapped opportunities within the region. Attendees enjoyed a day filled with insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and a deeper look into the journey of Marlborough becoming a leading hub of agritech in Australasia.
Innovate Marlborough 2022: Young Enterprise Scheme
This event featured Year 10 students from Marlborough College
attending a workshop where they tackled real-life problems faced by local
industries. The students were challenged to come up with innovative solutions,
making it a valuable opportunity for them to experience the Young Enterprise Scheme
supported by local businesses. The event took place on Tuesday, 15 November at the
Ūkaipō – Rangitane Cultural Centre in Grovetown.
